Cyclist casualty maps of Great Britain 2000 to 2008

We have now prepared a series of maps showing cyclist casualties for the whole of Great Britain.
The maps are available for Scotland, Wales and the nine Government Office Regions of England.
Clicking on the map will take you to the relevant region.
Or if you prefer you can select a country of regional map from the list to the right.
These maps are not designed to put people off Cycling. It's still safer to cycle to work or to the station than to walk. These maps show where accidents occur, and some of the characteristics of the accidents.
The maps can be used to help campaigners; the London Cycling Campaign are using the London mapping to help in negotiations with the Mayor of London.
Use the maps to analyse your journey to work or favourite ride.
